MEHR Foundatin is a non-profit, non-political and

non-religious organization founded in 2018.

The goal and mission of MEHR is to celebrate and promote Persian arts and culture.

MEHR is managed by the "San Antonio Persian Cultural Society" and its board of directors, in addition to a

six member Advisory Board.

Mojgan Panah


Mojgan was born in Tehran, Iran and grew up in San Antonio where she graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word. She held multiple executive positions at Macy's and Bloomingdales Inc. in Southern California before moving back to San Antonio and starting a career in real estate. Roots to her strong ties with the Iranian-American community began with an Iranian TV show she produced and hosted, and the creation of an online Iranian networking group. She also published a book in 2014 and was an associate producer on a film project in Los Angeles. Her event planning resume is comprised of over 60 events in San Antonio and Southern California. Her motto is that life is a journey, not an obstacle.


Vesta Broumand-Mizani


Vesta is an Iranian-American, residing in San Antonio since 2001. Born in the States and raised in Iran, she has a great appreciation for both cultures.  She is a general dentist in town, a graduate of the UTHSCSA dental school, who has a deep passion for community service. She currently volunteers at the Haven for Hope dental clinic, providing dental care to those financially disadvantaged.

Her goal for MEHR Foundation is not only to help flourish the Persian culture in San Antonio, but also help engage the Iranian-Americans to get more involved in the city through philanthropy and community activities in the friendliest city we all call home!


Taraneh Maghsoodi-Zahedi


Dr. Maghsoodi–Zahedi was born in Tehran, Iran.  Her education includes BA in English translation from Iran, BS in Biology from UTSA, Doctor of Dental Surgery from UTHSCSA and Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from UTHSCSA. She is currently a faculty member at UT Dentistry San Antonio and the chief Maxillofacial Radiologist at 360 imaging. She is a diplomat of American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and the first Iranian- American Board certified, oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist. She is passionate about her Iranian heritage.
